About the company: Arts Laureate is a media production team focusing on live and session recordings for clients ranging from top-tier professional ensembles to community bands, orchestras, and choirs, as well as opera companies, independent artists, schools, and students. Services include audio recording, video production, photography, streaming, and social media. Arts Laureate is directed by Christian Amonson, who also serves as recording engineer for the Marine Band. Arts Laureate is based in the mid-Atlantic region and produces recordings throughout the U.S.
About the position: The Administrative Assistant will assist the Office Manager, working part-time to ensure smooth and reliable operation at Arts Laureate. Core responsibilities include retrieving and processing mail (including CD/DVD orders), paying royalties, maintaining the asset list, insurance, and other accounts, plus additional responsibilities as assigned. The position has the potential to grow into a full time temp position starting in the Summer. Arts Laureate functions as a team therefore the Assistant will work collaboratively with the Office Manager, Project Manager, and Director. Time commitment is TBD, determined in conjunction with the ideal candidate. Minimum commitment is 2-days per week.
The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and have an interest in arts administration and the performing arts. We are looking for someone who is excited by what Arts Laureate does and is interested in growing their position, responsibilities, and salary, and building a life in the arts.
Starting salary: $15 an hour, part-time
